I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and EMDR-trained, trauma-informed therapist providing virtual therapy throughout Texas for individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, infertility, postpartum transitions, parenting stress, and major life changes.
My passion for helping others began long before becoming a therapist. After earning my Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston-Downtown, I spent several supporting children and families navigating foster care, crisis situations, and the lasting effects of trauma. Those experiences showed me just how deeply relationships, adversity, and life experiences can shape the way we see ourselves and connect with others (or disconnect from others). They also reinforced my belief that healing begins when people feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported.
I later earned my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and completed my clinical training at Cy-Hope Counseling, where I provided therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Since becoming a licensed therapist, I have continued helping clients navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and practical support.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, first responders, and crime victims, giving me a broad understanding of how trauma, chronic stress, and life transitions affect both individuals and relationships. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that every person’s story deserves to be met with compassion, curiosity, and without judgement.
I believe that healing is not about becoming someone new, it is about rediscovering the strength, resilience, and worth that have been there all along. Whether you are facing personal challenges, relationship struggles, or life’s unexpected transitions, my hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel safe to heal, reconnect, and begin believing in yourself again.
